2008 Israeli Open

2008 Israeli Table Championship
The 2008 Israeli Open was held on 28-29 December, 2008 in Tel-Aviv Israeli. It was the second Israeli Table Championship. Eleven entrants from two different countries took part. The trophy was taken home by unseeded Arnon Chor.

Tournament Report


 Q: TantrixMan, Did you feel you could win it all before the tournament started?

A: I didn't think I could win the maximum I thought is that I could take second or third place.


Q: What game do you remember the most?

A: I remember the game against Carmel the most, because Carmel had a loop threat, I nearly lost by about 20 in that game, and barely managed to win in the end.


Q: Who is taller? you or Gromit?

A: I'm taller of course. :)


Q: Will you come back for next year's tournament?

A: I'll try to participate in next year's tournament, but maybe I won't be able to make it due to being in the army.


Q: Were SiRPi and Egmaria really weird?

A: They spoke a weird language and wore tantrix shirts which is pretty weird, of course :)


Q: Anything else?

A: I'd like to thank everyone who participated, it was great fun playing, and of course, thanks to Zafrir and Tali for organizing the tournament.
